The World's Largest Beaver Dam is Visible From Space!
Monday, 24 May 2010

Beavers are very interesting animals. They are on of a few animal species which can dramatically change the environment. Beavers are known asa pretty freaky dam builders. Even they only have a pair of pretty sharp teeth, it seems that they can compete with humans when we are talking about the building of dams.

Jean Thie is an ecologist who first noticed the huge dam while he was exploring the land via Google Earth.

Here you can see a photo of world's biggest dam created by beavers. It is located in Wood Buffalo National Park. The dam is about 850 metres wide and is visible from space.
